A lip lift is a surgical technique used to shorten the space between the nose and the upper lip, enhancing lip definition and creating a fuller appearance without fillers.
A small incision is made beneath the nose (usually a bullhorn shape). A strip of skin is removed, and the skin is lifted to expose more of the pink lip.
The procedure typically lasts about one hour. Precision is key to maintaining natural symmetry and avoiding distortion of the nostrils or lip shape.
Swelling and minor bruising are expected for the first week. Stitches are usually removed within 5–7 days. Patients should avoid excessive lip movement and follow care instructions to support healing. Long-term results become more visible as swelling reduces.
